2nd Programming Task Force Post 2020 Meeting

On 5 February, the second meeting of the Programming Task Force post 2020 Lithuania-Poland Cross-border Cooperation Programme took place in Białystok.

During the meeting, the working group discussed  future of the Interreg Lithuania - Poland 2021-2027 cooperation programme, possibly new area of the Programme’s, Programme’s structure and management.

At the meeting, the outcomes of the workshops, which took place on 16 January in Ryn and on 23 January in Vilnius on directions of cross-border cooperation and the specific objectives for 2021-2027 Programme, were presented, including the results of the survey, which was filled in at the workshops. The most active survey respondents were municipality employees. The surveys showed that no one priority was named as the most important, however education was prioritized. The biggest challenge while applying for funding was named financial capacities of the institutions. More results of the survey will be provided later.

The Lithuanian delegation was composed of representatives of the Ministry of the Interior and representatives of cooperating regions and organizations. The Polish side was represented by representatives of the Ministry of Funds and Regional Policy and Podlaskie and Warmińsko-Mazurskie Voivodeships. The meeting was opened by Artur Kosicki, Marshal of Podlaskie Voivodeship.

The next meeting is planned in March.
