Information related to COVID-19

The Joint Secretariat is sharing recommendations on travels in projects in the context of announced epidemic situation:

- Before deciding whether to go or not to travel, partners should assess the situation based on guidance from WHO (World Health Organisation), embassies, national institutions responsible for public health issues, partner institutions.

- Travel should be cancelled if an official travel ban is in force or a warning has been issued, if partner institutions have restrictions on meetings or individual medical contraindications.

- In the event of payment for hotels, tickets, catering, conference rooms, etc., reimbursement must be requested as soon as possible in accordance with the terms of the contract.

- In the case of non-refundable funds, please contact the 1st level controller. The controller may, in cases of force majeure and based on the partner's documented recovery efforts, consider the expenditure incurred as eligible for the project.

- The programme also recommends project partners to consider the possibility of replacing meetings by videoconferences.
