THE 4TH OPEN CALL STATISTICS

The 4th call for project applications of the Interreg V-A Lithuania-Poland Programme ended at 16:00 on 30 September, 2019. Within the indicated deadline the Joint Secretariat received 66 applications: 35 applications with the Lead Beneficiaries from Lithuania and 31 applications with the Lead Beneficiaries from Poland. The most active applicants form Lithuanian side was Alytus and Kaunas counties which submitted 12 and 11 projects respectively. From Poland side the most active were organizations from Podlaskie Voivodeship, submitting 20 applications. 

Among beneficiaries the most popular specific objective of the Programme was 1.1. "To increase the sustainable use of natural and cultural heritage for tourism in cross-border area" with 29 project applications received, that makes 44% of all submitted applications. 

The least popular objective was 2.2 "To decrease unemployment through coordinated cross-border employment initiatives" with 8 submitted applications. However, it marked a huge almost three times raise in popularity compared to number of received applications during the 3rd call. 

The total value of the submitted projects amounts EUR 43,4 million; while the requested amount from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) is EUR 36,9 million. The indicative ERDF co-financing of the Programme available for the 4th call projects is EUR 25,4 million. The biggest demand of funding is under the specific objective 1.1. "To increase the sustainable use of natural and cultural heritage for tourism in cross-border area " with request of EUR 18,1 million, while the available amount for this priority is EUR 10,3 million. The biggest competition for funding is in the priority 3 “Promoting social inclusion, combating poverty and any discrimination”, where the request for funding exceeds available funding almost three times. 

The received projects will go administrative and quality assessment and the list of projects that will be selected for receiving financing will be approved by Joint Monitoring Committee (JMC), meeting of which will take place next year. More information about JMC will follow later.
