On-line Public Hearings Completed

The one stage of the public consultations of the Interreg Lithuania-Poland Programme 2021-2027 was concluded with on-line public consultations held on 12-14 January for interested parties in Podlaskie region, all regions in Lithuania and Warminsko Mazurskie region. The last stage of the public consultation is the online questionnaire that still can be filled in until 19 January 2022 in English, Lithuanian or Polish.

In total more than 160 participants took part in all three on-line public consultations. Among the participants there were representatives of local governments, NGO’s and other public institutions working in the fields of public services, culture, tourism, health, environment, forestry and agriculture.

During the consultations, selected priorities, thematic objectives and results‘ indicators were presented as well the process of Programme preparation and institutions involved in the process were explained.

Issues raised at the public consultations will be discussed before proceeding further with the national procedures for approval of the programme 2021-2027 by the Lithuania and Poland governments and the European Commission. The final approval of the document is expected at II-III quarters of this year.

The overall objective of the Interreg VI A Lithuania-Poland Programme 2021-2027: improving the wellbeing of cross-border communities through cross-border cooperation and sustainable use of the cultural and natural heritage of Lithuania and Poland cross-border area.
