Project summary:
The project brings together Cardinal Stefan Wyszynski Voivodeship Hospital in Łomża (Poland) and Vilkaviškis Hospital (Lithuania) to improve access to high-quality paediatric healthcare in the Lithuania–Poland border region.
The partners are modernising paediatric wards, upgrading medical equipment and facilities, and strengthening healthcare services through joint training programmes, conferences for medical professionals, and educational events for local communities. These activities improve the quality and availability of healthcare, particularly for children and families living in rural and remote areas, reducing the need to travel to major cities for specialist treatment.
By combining infrastructure investments with knowledge exchange, the project strengthens cross-border cooperation and creates lasting benefits for healthcare professionals, patients, and local communities on both sides of the border
