The Interreg VI-A Lithuania–Poland Programme has been recognised at the Best Local Events 2025 awards, where its event “Celebrating 35 Years of Interreg at the Fair of Nations” received the award for Best Thematic Event.
The event marked the 35th anniversary of Interreg by bringing the programme closer to the public in an open and engaging way. By joining the Fair of Nations, the celebration reached a wide audience and created a space for cultural exchange, dialogue and shared experiences.
Visitors had the opportunity to discover how cross-border cooperation shapes everyday life in border regions. Through interactive activities, conversations and storytelling, the event highlighted the tangible results of cooperation between Lithuania and Poland, while fostering a sense of community and connection.
