Project summary:
The project's aim is to improve rescue and firefighting techniques and share experiences between the fire brigades of Korycin (Poland) and the Vilnius region towns of Niemenczyna and Gineitiškės (Lithuania).
Through joint training, workshops, and cultural and sports events, firefighters will gain new skills, deepen mutual trust, and strengthen cross-border networks. The project will also engage local communities, including youth, to raise awareness of emergency preparedness.
It builds on previous cooperation (Crisis Response Matrix project) and addresses modern challenges in firefighting, such as fires in photovoltaic installations, electric vehicles, and peat fires. Expected outcomes include enhanced qualifications for firefighters, continued cross-border collaboration, and increased public engagement.
