Project summary:
The project addresses the need to strengthen cross-border emergency preparedness in the Lithuanian–Polish border region, particularly in the context of evolving geopolitical risks and emerging security challenges. It aims to deepen cooperation between Lithuanian and Polish police forces while also increasing the involvement of border communities in crisis preparedness and response.
Its main activities focus on improving joint tactical and medical response capacities, strengthening interoperability through shared training frameworks and procedures, and introducing modern technologies such as drones and a mobile operational coordination center. The project also supports the development of police–community cooperation through educational initiatives, evacuation training, and local engagement activities.
The initiative is designed to strengthen the resilience and readiness of the border region, improve coordination between the two countries’ emergency services, and enhance the safety and protection of local communities.
