Project summary:
The project brings together Lithuanian and Polish organisations to improve the quality of life of people with intellectual disabilities and local communities in the border regions of Trakai and Białystok.
The partners will exchange experience and knowledge on developing labour skills and creating employment opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities. Through joint training and activities, participants will develop practical skills, including cleaning, gardening, coffee making and customer service, helping them become more independent and better prepared for the labour market.
Cross-border cooperation will allow the partners to share their different experiences and adapt good practices in both countries. The project will also strengthen cooperation between local communities, promote social inclusion and help reduce stigma around intellectual disabilities.
As part of the project, the partners will participate in joint events and prepare and publish a practical guide on developing labour skills of people with intellectual disabilities.
