Project summary:
Lithuanian and Polish ambulance services are working together to strengthen emergency preparedness and cooperation in the Suwałki Corridor and its neighbouring areas. Together, the partners are improving training facilities and equipment, exchanging experience and developing joint approaches to emergency response. Medics from both countries are participating in specialised training on battlefield medicine and joint ambulance exercises, strengthening their practical skills and ability to cooperate in emergency situations. New training equipment and facilities are being provided, including simulation mannequins, triage equipment, a training room and a medical simulation centre. A joint working group supports regular cooperation and the exchange of experience between Lithuanian and Polish ambulance services. By bringing together around 1,000 medics from both countries, the cooperation strengthens cross-border collaboration and contributes to a safer and better-prepared society on both sides of the border.
