Project summary:
The Ready Together: Crisis Management in Border Municipalities project strengthens crisis preparedness and response in border areas of Lithuania and Poland. It addresses common challenges by improving crisis management through joint planning, risk assessment, training and public education. Lithuanian and Polish partners develop joint crisis management plans and procedures, carry out risk assessments and organise training for local authorities and crisis management professionals. Communities also benefit from educational activities that raise awareness and improve preparedness, while a dedicated Crisis Centre is established to support coordinated responses to emergencies. By sharing knowledge, resources and experience across the border, the project helps municipalities respond more effectively to crises, protect local communities and reduce potential economic losses. These joint efforts also contribute to stronger long-term resilience in the border region.
