First Subsidy Contracts have been already signed!

The Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Lithuania has signed the first five Subsidy Contracts for the Interreg VI-A Lithuania-Poland 2021-2027 Cross-border Cooperation Programme .

Two contracts (projects No. LTPL00143 and LTPL00107) have been signed under the 1st priority. The projects aim to promote environmental well-being by improving the capacity of firefighters and rescue services in the districts of Raseiniai, Gródek, Šilalė and Tauragė, and to ensure stable and efficient wastewater control and maintenance of wastewater treatment plants in the cities of Alytus and Suwałki.

One contract (project No. LTPL00079) was signed under the 2nd priority. The project aims to promote physical, emotional and cultural well-being. The project partners will develop a cross-border tourism product, a hiking route and the developed route will be promoted by innovative tourism capsules – mobile information and education centres – developed during the project.

The other two contracts (projects No. LTPL00055 and LTPL00002) were signed under the 3rd priority, which aims to promote cooperation between local stakeholders. One of the projects will improve cooperation between the Lithuanian and Polish police forces in the cross-border region in the areas of search and disappearance in the border area and combating car crime. Another project will bring together Lithuanian and Polish border guards to strengthen their capacity and technical capabilities.
