The project strengthens the resilience of the healthcare system in the Polish–Lithuanian border region by improving the capacity of emergency services to respond to crisis situations, including mass casualty incidents and other large-scale emergencies. Through cross-border cooperation, partner hospitals in Suwałki and Alytus enhance emergency infrastructure, improve diagnostic capabilities, and provide medical staff with advanced theoretical and practical training. The project also raises public awareness by educating residents on how to respond during emergencies. By building on previous cooperation between the partners, the project improves the quality and preparedness of emergency healthcare services, ensuring greater safety and better protection for communities on both sides of the border.
