Project summary:
The project brings together the Municipality of Giżycko in Poland and the Trakai District Municipality Administration in Lithuania to make cultural and natural heritage more accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities, older people and other vulnerable groups. The project develops sustainable and accessible tourism products and improves the quality and promotion of local tourism offers. By adapting tourism spaces to the needs of diverse visitors, it supports social inclusion, economic development and the well-being of local communities. Through cross-border cooperation, the project creates two new accessible places where everyone can discover and experience the region’s history, culture and natural heritage. In this way, "History and Culture – Accessibility Without Boundaries" promotes more inclusive tourism and demonstrates how cultural heritage can be made accessible to all.
