Project summary:
Project strengthens mental health care services in the Lithuanian-Polish border region by improving access to specialised treatment and developing community- and home-based care. Healthcare providers from both countries are introducing advanced therapeutic methods, including Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), while improving healthcare facilities with new equipment and developing mobile mental health teams. Joint activities also focus on strengthening the skills of medical staff and promoting the exchange of knowledge and experience between healthcare providers and other stakeholders. A joint cross-border model and action plan support the transition towards more accessible, community-based mental health care. Through closer cooperation and shared solutions, the project contributes to improving the quality and accessibility of mental health services for communities on both sides of the border.
