Project summary:
The project aims to strengthen cross-border cooperation between the municipalities of Hajnówka (Poland) and Jurbarkas (Lithuania) by engaging young people in music, sports, and civic activities. Building on a partnership of over 15 years, the project promotes people-to-people actions to foster mutual trust, break stereotypes, and strengthen grassroots collaboration.
Key activities include joint youth sports and music camps, as well as cross-border integration meetings, involving 266 young musicians and athletes from both municipalities.
The project will enhance local cultural, sports, and social offerings, foster community cohesion, and create opportunities for youth to actively participate in shaping their socio-cultural environment. By facilitating direct interactions, it promotes European citizenship, mutual understanding, and sustainable cross-border relationships.
