Project summary:
The project aims to improve the quality, accessibility and efficiency of healthcare services in the Lithuanian–Polish border region by strengthening cooperation between healthcare institutions and introducing innovative digital solutions. It addresses common challenges faced by medical providers in both countries, including long waiting times, limited availability of services, outdated infrastructure and the need for more effective exchange of knowledge and experience.
A key element of the project is the digital transformation of healthcare processes through the introduction of artificial intelligence solutions for X-ray services, digitalisation of patient records and modernisation of IT infrastructure. The project also includes joint training activities, study visits and knowledge exchange between Lithuanian and Polish healthcare professionals, supporting the development of new approaches to patient care and service delivery.
The project strengthens cross-border cooperation between public healthcare providers, improves access to high-quality medical services for residents of the Alytus and Ełk regions, and contributes to more efficient, patient-oriented and sustainable healthcare systems in the border area.
