Project summary:
The project aims to enhance biodiversity and improve green infrastructure in Pagėgiai (LT) and Zabłudów (PL) municipalities. By developing a joint model for managing urban and rural green areas, the project will increase the attractiveness of public spaces, promote environmentally sustainable practices, and strengthen the capacities of local organizations. This pilot initiative addresses challenges such as ageing populations, population decline, and underinvestment in infrastructure, while showcasing the benefits of living in smaller towns. Cross-border cooperation will enable shared knowledge, foster behavioral change, and create a sustainable approach to green area management with long-term environmental and social impact.
