Project summary:
The project brings together Pagėgiai Municipality in Lithuania and Zabłudów Municipality in Poland to strengthen the role of culture in tourism and local economic development. The partners will jointly develop a new cross-border tourism product based on experiential tourism, allowing visitors to discover local history, culture and heritage through engaging and innovative experiences.
The project will use virtual reality and modern technologies to make cultural attractions more accessible and support tourism offers throughout the year. Key activities include the development of a joint experiential tourism model and support for experiential tourism sites, as well as closer cooperation between organisations from both sides of the border. The project will benefit local communities, visitors and public authorities by creating new opportunities for year-round tourism and promoting the cultural assets of the border region.
