Project summary:
The project tackles water pollution, habitat degradation, and climate impacts in Giżycko, Trakai, and Kruklanki, where lakes, rivers, and wetlands are central to local life. It aims to protect aquatic ecosystems, preserve biodiversity, and promote sustainable water management through cross-border cooperation. Key activities include water quality improvement, erosion control, eco-infrastructure development, sustainable transport, and educational campaigns. Innovative mobile monitoring using drones and autonomous buoys will provide real-time data for rapid response. The project engages youth, teachers, tourists, and local communities, fostering environmental awareness and collaboration.
